Because sometimes it’s good to be bad…
This look is best with bare skin and minimal contouring: it’s all about the red lipstick and a kohl rimmed eye. And the less perfect, the better - a smudged lip or messy eye will leave people guessing what you have been up to…
Let’s hear it for highlights - nothing makes skin look fresh and healthy like a dab of luminizer on the top of cheekbones, cupid’s bow and on the inner corners of eyes. RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer is my not so secret weapon and gives an I-only-drink-green-tea-and-practice-yoga-daily glow.
With wild weather forecast for tomorrow, I’m taking my cue from Rooney & Rachel - a slicked back pony to protect hair from the wind, and soft flushed cheeks to perk up a grey day. Get the look with Youngblood Mineral Creme Blush and O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum.

What was your favourite beauty look from the Oscars?

After I dragged myself out of bed this morning and had a quick scour of my Pinterest, I landed on this gorgeously fresh makeup look and thought, heck, I’m going to try that! Here are the products I used to get the look:
I love this look - soft pretty pastels blended from the outer corners of the eyes. It’s perfect for Spring! I think these colours from Nvey cosmetics would all look gorgeous when applied this way:

Letting natural beauty shine through will never go out of style. The key to this look is to prep for gorgeous, glowing skin by applying a resurfacing mask (try Nude Miracle Mask or Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask - reviews of both coming soon!), then using a nourishing serum for maximum hydration (I recommend Franc Essential Serum). If wearing makeup stick to shades that are similar to your skin tone: pinky blushes, clear or peachy glosses, not too much bronzer (if any) and just a hint of mascara.
Love Olivia Palermo’s update on the traditional smokey eye using shimmery silver and grey tones. Alima Pure has a great range of silvery and grey shadows in a range of finishes - my picks are Ava, Stone, and Zen.
As with all smokey eyes, use a variety of shades in the same colour tone and cover the entire lid with the medium shade, use the darker shade in the crease and on the outer ‘wings’ of the eyes, and the lightest shade to highlight browbones and light up the inner corners of the eyes.
Keep the rest of the look simple and finish with a volumising mascara and light slick of pale pink or nude lipgloss.
