After I dragged myself out of bed this morning and had a quick scour of my Pinterest, I landed on this gorgeously fresh makeup look and thought, heck, I’m going to try that! Here are the products I used to get the look:

What: A devine deeply hydrating mask for use once or twice a week.
For: All skin types, but particularly for dry or dehydrated skin.
Review: I introduced you to Odacite in my last post, and now it’s time to meet my absolute favourite product from the range, the Deep Hydration Masque. I feel as though I am introducing a new boyfriend to my parents… I know that I am head over heels for him, and I just want you all to love him too! Mr Hydration Masque is totally cool, soothing yet reviving & makes me feel like a million bucks. Yep, he’s a keeper.
In all seriousness, I think this is a star product that will make its way onto my repurchase list. I usually reach for exfoliating or clay based masks, but I think this is a great one to apply at least once a week. It feels like a very thick moisturiser which you leave on for 20 minutes then rinse off (although if you have very dry skin I imagine you could probably leave a thin layer of this on overnight). I’m left with lovely, plump, glowing skin after use that feels soft and smooth to touch, and fine lines are definitely minimised.
According to Odacite’s website, the masque contains organic Olive and Jojoba oils to replace the moisture and elasticity lost due to environment damage, Organic Calendula to stimulate microcirculation, potent antioxidants of natural Vitamins E and organic tea extracts to fight free radicals, natural anti-inflammatory agents of lavender to soothe, and Hyaluronic Acid to plump fine lines & wrinkles. Whilst I can’t pinpoint the ingredients that do it I can vouch that each of these claims are visible after use.
Clean creds: Free of all the nasties like parabens, fragrance & petrochemicals (see full details here), certified organic ingredients, PETA cruelty free, freshly made for you (all products come with an expiry date).
Verdict: I’m completely in love. Beautiful mask that I highly recommend (and also recommend the other Odacite products which I will review shortly).
This product was sent to me as a PR sample

I will soon be posting full reviews of the Odacite products I have been testing for the past couple of weeks, but I just wanted to take a moment to introduce you to this brand. Odacite is a French skincare company that produces freshly made, organic products, free of parabens, fragrance and other toxic nasties, which was founded after the CEO, Valerie Grandury, discovered she had breast cancer in 2004. This triggered her to “reinvent her life, reconnect with nature and step into a beautiful and fascinating healing journey” - Valerie started detoxifying her environment, overhauling her diet and quitting her job to study the healing power of plants, and became a health and wellness coach. This led her to investigating the products she was using, and she discovered just how full of chemicals the products she was slathering on every day were. As a result, Valerie decided to start her own ‘fresh’ skincare brand - Odacite. I absolutely love this story of how it all started, and without going into too much(/any!) detail, I had a very similar journey which prompted me to start writing this blog.
And it’s not just the philosophy of the brand that is wonderful - the products absolutely deliver! The results I have experienced in using the products for just a few weeks is quite amazing - my skin looks plump, fresh and glowing, and I find that I am applying less and less foundation to let my skin show through, which is definitely a first for me. I want to post comprehensive reviews of each of the products I have tried but would like to use them for a few more weeks just so I can thoroughly test them out over the long term, but in the mean time, check out Odacite’s website here. There’s lots of great information on there, not just about the company, but also about general wellbeing and skincare. If anyone else has used Odacite’s products I would love to hear what you think!
